Amazing Blogging Coach Website Design For Tracie Fobes

I had the honor and privilege of redesigning Tracie Fobes’ website, and I can’t wait to share the final result. In this post, I’m sharing all of the project details (including the tech stack we used), the before and after pictures, Tracie’s honest feedback, and more!
If you haven’t met Tracie, she is an incredibly talented blogging coach!
Tracie started her first blog back in 2009 and was able to pay off $35,000+ in debt just 2 years into her blogging journey. 10 years later, she sold that blog for over 6 figures! Now, she helps other bloggers start, grow, and scale their blogs to a full-time income just like she did!
How Tracie and I Met
When I was trying to grow my Christian lifestyle blog back in 2019, I joined Tracie’s group coaching membership for advanced bloggers. Tracie was my mentor, and voice of reason for years!
Tracie has had a front-row seat to my entire journey from hustling blogger to thriving as a website designer! It all came full circle when she decided to hire me.
About the Design Functionality
Tracie really wanted to elevate her online presence and get a website that was professional (appealing to both her men and women clientele) while reflecting her own vibrant personality. That’s why we went with a navy blue and hot pink color palette. The blues and grays really ground the entire design while the pops of pink showcase Tracie perfectly!
My favorite part of the project was thoughtfully considering the user experience with Tracie. On every page of the site, we wanted to make sure that the content was easy to navigate and user-friendly for every website visitor. Here are a few ways we accomplished that:
- We curated three landing pages with content that’s specific to the stage of blogger – one for newbies, amaeteurs and expert bloggers. Because blogging is such a big topic to cover, Tracie needed a way to tailor her advice depending on the experience level of her potential clients. She added these pages to the menu navigation bar as well.
- Next, we customized each blogging category page with easy-to-navigate tabs so the user can easily find what they’re looking for.
- We also added customized lead magnet pop-ups to each of her blog posts. This allows Tracie to provide relevant resources her audience needs while effortlessly collecting email addresses on her list and keeping the reader engaged on the post after they sign up.

The Theme & Page Builder We Used TO Achieve Tracie’s Website Design
- THEME – For this redesign, we moved Tracie from the Aveda theme to the Kadence Theme Pro.
- CHILD THEME – I started with the pre-designed Rae Theme (find it here in my shop) and then customized it to fit Tracie’s specific business goals.
- WEBSITE BUILDER – I also used the Kadence Blocks Pro plugin to design the site without touching a single line of code.
Making this switch brought Tracie’s site speed score up 26 points on desktop and 21 points on mobile!
